Swamp stink feet

I didn't have to work today until 3 pm.  So why the hell did I get woken up at 9am?!?!?!  Because Matt decided I needed to help him find the disc golf disc he lost yesterday.  The one he threw and the wind carried into a pond.  A pond that smells like swamp stink.  A pond that I had just seen a snake next to it.

Yeah, no.  I stood on the bank playing with reeds and a stick.

Seriously?  You wake me up to go smell swamp stink?  WTF???  He didn't even find the damn disc.  I woke up early to go stand and watch him fail.  And then smelled the swamp stink all the way home... My car still has a lingering stench...  I couldn't go back to sleep when we got home later.  So he decided it was errand time.  Not exactly my plan for my short day of work.

WTF was he thinking waking me up that early????  I was looking forward to sleeping in in my own bed.  Oh yeah, no more couch until the a/c goes out again.

Ever been woken up waaaay earlier than you needed to by a morning person?  Sucks don't it?

Off to drink myself into a happy stupor!!!  Lol, I'm off tomorrow so I plan on enjoying myself tonight.

Happy humpday!

Love!!!

Doin the No Pants Dance

Seriously, I am.  Well I don't have pants on anyway.  It's too hot in my house to dance... That's right my a/c is out... again!!!  So is the one at work...  If I had a hammock, I'd sleep outside tonight.  It's cooler out there than in my house which is quite sad...

Sorry had to pause to chase Tank down the road... in this:

Yep, I'm in my underwear and one of Matt's wifebeaters... I'm glad its the middle of the night here or I'd be in trouble.  Too many kids live in my neighborhood for me to get away with that.  Please ignore my gross bathroom... 4 people sharing a bathroom and all but 1 being male makes for a hard to keep clean bathroom.

Anywhooo!  Today is Day 22 of my photo challenge.  The challenge is to post a picture of something I wish I was better at.  Really?  Um, taking over the world work?

Haha just kidding.

I'm gonna recycle a picture or two from a non challenge post here.

Frisbee golf (aka disc golf or frolfing).  I love playing this game.  I just wish I was good enough to compete and be sponsored.  I love that Matt and I can play a sport together.  I also love that I can actually play a sport that won't hurt back but still gives me a good workout.  I also wish I had more time to play it.  I'm always working it seems.  If I'm not working, I'm sleeping.  I go only if Matt and I have a day off together.  I just can't seem to find the motivation to go alone, it's a competition sport.  I love it though even if I'm not as good as I want to be.

So I'm sitting here in my underwear watching Power Rangers with Bubba and Trulock.  This whole no a/c thing has definitely killed any and all modesty I had left.  Not that there was much left to begin with.  This would be completely awesome if I wasn't sweating my balls off!!

We went to the Second Friday Art Walk earlier tonight.  I had so much fun!!  If my phone wasn't dying and my charger dead I'd upload pictures of what we bought.  Well minus the present I got for Sarcasm Goddess.  It's a sur-prize.  I found something that made me laugh almost as hard as her posts do, so I had to get it obviously.

Ugh... I gotta get up soon... I'm gonna lay in bed and sweat until my alarm goes off...  G'night!!

Love!!

I think my glutes hate me...

Tomorrow is Matt's 25th birthday.  I have some great things lined up: disc golfing after we both get off work, an ice cream cake with Reese's mixed in, and a night out at Logan's on the Corner with some of our favorite people.  All he knows about is disc golf and that we're going somewhere that night.  He has a habit of blowing my surprises, so no telling!!!  I'm really excited.  The last time I planned something for his birthday his buddy showed up early and sorta ruined it but sorta didn't.  I wish his Little could be here but he's 2000ft (give or take) underground in Virginia.  His Big is gonna make it though, I think.  I really hope he enjoys himself.  This took a ton of planning!  I mean bestie and I sat around at work for at least 5 minutes ordering the cake and planning where to go.  That really cut into my slacking time today!

Anyway, on to the glutes.  We played 4 games of disc golf yesterday!  Yes, 4!!  Granted 2 of them were at a 9 hole course and the 3rd was too but we only played 6 holes cause the course sucks big donkey balls.  Seriously!!

*Okay sorry went out to Logan's for a coworker's birthday (yes, before Matt's birthday) after that last part and I'm a lil hammered so excuse any fuck ups from here on out.*

Going up and down hills kills you if you don't work out regularly...  (stupid spine...)

I would be doing my 30 Days of Photos post but I need to get my mom to scan the next one so I can post it.

I'm going to bed yall, too many mixed drinks tonight...

Love!!

Thankful Thursday and a Bloggie Award!

Ahhh what a day!  Ever have one of those days that you just don't want to end?  Yeah, I know, we all do.  Today was definitely one of those days!  Matt and I were off together, which is always nice.  We made the pilgrimage to Crossroads Mall to see a friend, oddly enough, not nearly as scary as it usually is!!  If you know anything about the OKC area, you know Crossroads is NOT one of the places one tends to CHOOSE to go to if one has a choice.  However, we've been going about once a month now to pick up our dietary supplements (no, not drugs, actual dietary pills {we both have bad backs and knees so hardcore workouts are not as helpful unless we don't want to move for a few days}) (it's the only store in the area that carries it for now), so we're getting used to the ...ahem... scenery.  We made a few other stops: Mrs. Cools, Play it Again Sports (we're regulars now!), and Taramuhara's.  No Frolfing today kiddies, waaaaayyy to damn windy to throw a disc anywhere near a pin!!!  It was/is a good day!

Anyway, I have a lot to be thankful for this week so I'm kinda excited!  Here ya go:

  • Matt and I got a discount today for our diet pills because the guy has come to know us (and Matt kept his word about telling him about any space openings in Sooner Mall).
  • While at PiAS, we got a free disc.  We go in once a week or so and talk to the main guy, so we've gotten to know him well.  I picked a Latitude 64 Halo and got Matt a 2011 tournament disc.  We sit there and BS for awhile and Matt pops off about his Innova Shark he really likes.  The guy grabs a disc, says "you like sharks?  here have this one."  Like for free.  It was his last one from the 2009 Red Dirt Doubles tournament.
Our 3 new discs!  Mine is the blue one, the red one was the free one, and the pink one is the tourney one.
  • Met a girl at the dog park today who fosters dogs.  I'm happy to have finally met someone who is able to do that and who cares enough to socialize these poor pups.
  • Apparently the Germans were impressed with our center this week when they came.  All I really know is that our audit (inspection) by the German Health Authority went pretty well, no results really yet.
  • I got a little pat on the back for the hard work I put into cleaning for said audit.  It feels good to be appreciated.
  • I now have both an Avon lady AND a Mary-Kay lady.  For awhile I only had one or the other, which made me sad.  I may not be a girly girl, but I do love makeup.  When I can find great stuff for even greater prices NOT at Wal Mart, it's a good day lol
  • Matt is FINALLY starting to spoil Tank.  While most may not see this as a good thing, said most didn't witness the reaction I got when I brought him home.  Trust me, it's a good thing!
  • Tank got an ear infection... And we cured it WITHOUT going to the vet.  A little home remedy I was given: put peroxide in a spray bottle, spray in ear, rub around, dry out.  Do this for a few days and... no more head shaking or whining.  (I'm not a vet and I don't claim to know cure-alls.  Do not try any home remedies without vet/doctor approval)
  • I got all the little lovelies I won in Meagan's gigantic birthday giveaway over at Fairly Fabulous this week!  You should definitely check this little lady out, if you haven't already.  I don't care what she says, she's not fairly fabulous, she's completely fabulous!!  I'll post pictures of them as I wear/use them!
Meagan, this is what I have done with my bumper sticker!!  She loves it almost as much as I do!!

  • I have a pending road trip with Bubba.  We're going to see our ailing great-aunt in Kinta.  Doesn't sound fun, but you'd have to know our family.  It'll be a blast.  Plus, a roadtrip with Bubba is always a fun time!
And the final thing on the list for now:

  • TrueBlood starts in T minus 16 days!!!
Sorry, had to throw that out there.

I was also nominated for my second Bloggie Award!  Yes, I'm thankful for this too, but I thought I'd give it it's own little section tonight.  Miss Jodie over at Ramblings of A Fabulous Brunette (yep, definitely completely fabulous as well) gave me the:

Sooo 7 facts about lil ol' me...
  1. I'm convinced Tank has acquired magical powers his receiving his scar.  He snatched a melon rind off the middle of the cabinet tonight, and we proved he couldn't reach that far.  See?  Magical powers!
  2. I looooove dark chocolate, like love love love it!  I like white chocolate too, but it's not really chocolate so it doesn't count (no really, look it up).
  3. Tonight, I ate my first honeydew melon.  Ever.  It was, well, orgasmic to say the least.  Yeah, I had them in those mixed fruit thingies, but I've been told that doesn't count because let's be honest those taste like cardboard.
  4. I love sports and sports' icons, but I don't like Kobe Bryant or Lebron James.  *gasp*  Meh, I like guys/gals with a little class.
  5. I like to take pictures of things that are not what you would usually see or at least make you scratch your head.  I plan on starting a feature about such things in the near future.
  6. The only gun I've ever shot other than a BB gun is Matt's 9mm.  However, I plan on having a few in the coming years.  I really want a Glock if I can find one that fits my hands well.  Matt is trying to talk me into a pink 9mm... I would like to NOT get laughed at, thanks for the thought though hun!  Pink is one of my favorite colors, but so are black and silver lol.
  7. My favorite flavor of sunflower seeds is ranch.  Actually, my favorite flavor of just about anything (other than sweets) is ranch.  I also dip just about everything in ranch.  I think I just really like ranch lol.
And I am going to nominate....

Vic at a cup of freck
Jaimie at Legos in My Pocket
Mollie at OK in UK
Hayley at The Weekend File

Hope yall have a wonderful Friday!

Love!!!

30 Days of Photos--Day 4

A picture of my night.  How's about all my night's off????

Yeah yeah, I know "that's gross!"  But it was so much fun!!!  That's my new disc Matt bought me the other day, this was the first night I used it.  It's called a Katana.

This is also what most my nights look like:
Twitter and watching movies on the 360.  I would add the dogs but they're a given.

We also like to make random Wal Mart trips in the middle of the night to see what types of characters are out.  Sometimes we are a very random couple.

What do you do at night???

Love!!

Oh the joys of "motherhood"

Wanna see a cute picture?  Of course you do, you love my pictures.

That would be Bubba and bubbas.  I love my boys.  They're my favorite two boys in the world.  I'm glad they love each other.  If not, it would be uncomfortable when I have them in the same house.  Bubba loves being an uncle.  Boy best be as good an uncle to his human nieces and nephews if and when they decide to come into the world.

Yep this is what my Friday night consisted of.  Plus a crazy Ihop trip.  It was a blast.  Can't wait to get to do this more often!!

Get to go try out my new Frolfing disc tomorrow that Matt bought me.  I'm super excited.  I love disc golf.  I've even made contacts in the sport!!  Super cool huh?  Yeah I thought so too.

What did you do this weekend???

Love!!!

Today was my first day off in two weeks.  It was soooo nice to have a day off!!  I was going to try to get things done around the house like cleaning the bathroom and laundry.  It seems like I can never get the things done that I want/need to on my rare days off.

So instead of cleaning, I went and played my first actual game of Frisbee golf.  So much harder than it looks!!  I haven't gotten up the courage to tally up my score yet.  I do know that my score on the front nine was horrendous but it got better on the back nine.  I never hit par on any of them, but I did bogey a few.  And by a few, I mean very few haha.  I did have a lot of fun with the boys.  I also realized that I don't really like the disc Matt bought for me.  Thankfully he does!

We were supposed to go play at new course a few hours later, but after a 3 hour first game I was exhausted.  I decided to let Matt have boy bonding time and watch a million more episodes of The Vampire Diaries.  It was a successful day, even if I didn't do anything productive.  Unless you count a 3 hour walk and playing sport during said walk as something productive.

We FINALLY got rain on Sunday.  We needed it so badly.  Unfortunately it rained and rained and rained.  So many places flooded.  The pond at the disc golf course was way up.  My brother has a picture of the bayou near my parents' house.  It's completely flooded!
This road is a good 20 foot longer than this.
The river we float on near by is up further than I have ever seen it.  You can read the news story about it here.  I have uploaded the video from a news story about it.

It's crazy what weather can do.  In fact, my front yard now looks like this
Ok, so maybe not exactly like this but pretty damn close.  It was getting bad before the rain but now it's growing exponentially.  We need a lawn mower badly.  That, however, takes extra money which as just about everybody knows, is hard to come by in this economy.  Meh, we'll eventually figure something out.  Until then, the dogs can have fun exploring this strange jungle we call a yard.

Bleh, I have to be up and at work at 6am so I should probably get off here!  Goodnight!!!

Love!!

Photo Update

Like I said yesterday, this week has been exhausting.  From working just about every day to spending Tuesday playing sports, I think I may have realized my max earlier than I was expecting.

Tuesday I went to a local park and played frisbee golf (frolfing) with Matt and his best friend.

Okay, so TECHNICALLY I didn't play--I was caddy--but I still walked a good 3 miles.  I also seem to have better depth perception than the boys (even with bad eye sight) because I was the one who found the discs in the brush when they were thrown in there.  I've played before, but we didn't have enough discs for three people so I decided to work on my sunburn.

Later that day we played softball with a few friends (no pictures from this since I actually played).  I haven't played in years, but I did pretty damn good if I say so myself.  And I do.  Haha.  I forgot how much I love that game.  I also worked on my sunburn there too!  Let's just say I was pretty red until today.

Work has been kicking my ass lately.  We've been soooo much busier than we have been in the last few months.  Hopefully I get to paint the walls tomorrow instead of actual work.  I could use the break.  Plus I've been having this strange urge to paint lately.  Not walls necessarily, but that works for now.  I do have my hours back which is nice on the bank account--and my shopping addiction!

I do have one thing I need to ask the blogging world.  How the hell to I get a stubborn puppy to stop chewing on EVERYTHING????  We've tried punishment, bitter stuff, hiding things he likes to chew on.  You name it, we've tried it.  Roxi wasn't near this hard to train, although she really liked to chew on boxes and deodorant/bitter apple became like treats.  Hell, Tank even ate my entire thing of deodorant the other day!!!  I'm not sure what to do next.  Any advice?  Crating works, but he does it even when we're home.  Ugh, the joys of puppy motherhood lol.

Anyway, I think this is long enough for tonight.  Have a wonderful Friday night!!

Love!
